Hey everyone. I am kinda new to the Zmax pro. I have changed many phone DPI in the past but for some reason when i go to change the DPI on the Zmax pro it does threw and is fine for like 20 mins then I lock my phone and walk away from it. I got back to it and unlock it and its stick in this weird screen with the metro pcs background and it just flashes it non stop, the only way i can get it to stop is to run the old dpi which is 480 and I am only changing the DPI maybe 20 or 40 and its does it every time. I like rooting phone but they haven't released a root for the Zmax so I just use the thing i use most which is dpi usually you don't need a rooted phone to do that but i was wondering if anyone has had this same problem and if they have how have they fixed it or got it to not do the whole screen thing. The WiFi on my phone keeps turning on automatically. I have turned off the wifi advanced settings and it still turns on by itself. Does anyone know how to keep it turned off permanently?

Not sure if I've ever seen this anywhere else but certain wallpapers make my screen do this....

Hey all, I am using the zmp, I will plug the phone in, it will begin charging and it randomly makes the unplugged da ding and if the charge is below 15 battery saver will come back on, but the phones light flashes and charging icon is still in the battery icon. Not sure if it is still charging? I have no idea what is going on, any ideas? As I can tell the port is good and I am using a new cable, the phone is also picky on what cable to use

hey, so i picked up a used zmax pro z981 and i love the concept of the built in hardware. i noticed that the software is horrid, and updating to b20 yesterday made it worse so.... i have decided to buy a new one in a week or so, the metro 90 day rule, and use the current one as a development device, i would have a total of 4 devices i can test after initial dev. i have found an article where they say kingo can root this device, i also found source code on zte's website, im not sure if this would help i have experience with root, boot loaders and custom rom installs, this would be the first time i would try setting up a device from scratch, and could use some help with the process, possibly so far as donating the zmp to a good developer

Recently moved over to MetroPCS and chose this as their best budget-friendly option. Loving the phone, and I'm decently happy with the case options, but I haven't been successful with screen protectors and am looking for your recommendations. I prefer plastic (matte ideally) over glass, would love something full coverage (or at least to get under the lip of my cases; MetroPCS Flip and Kickstand cases and Incipio case). Thanks in advance!

Bought the Pro in September, had to re-register fingerprints every couple of months. I THINK my last reregistry was just before installing the b14 update. Now it keeps telling me the message above? Any solutions? Is my fingerprint reader dead now?

My sisters ZTE ZMAX PRO keeps rebooting and won't turn on. It switches from the ZTE screen to the metroPCS screen and keeps going like that for some time before turning black altogether. I've tried taking out the SD card and restarting it all over but nothing is working. Please help she needs this phone for when the school year starts.

Is there an apk of any of the older Android launchers? Like cupcake or froyo? Weird as it sounds I just love the feel of older Androids. I still use my Xperia Play from time to time.

So i noticed that alot of my pics that were on my sd card are now not showing up in my gallery. So i tried taking sd csrd and re-inserting to see if that would work and nothing...any suggestions...

I have a zmax pro and am having trouble with daydream. I selected the button that says "while charging." The "always on" button is not checked. I am not pressing the power button to turn it off. The phone goes out after 2 minutes and the daydream starts and works for about 5 seconds then the screen turns black. I know it's not a big deal but I really like the feature. I've searched every blog and forum out there and have not seen this problem addressed anywhere. Please help if you can! Thanks

Hi, I booted up holding down the power and volume up buttons to try to fix a problem I was having with the device. I selected something and can't recall what I selected. I can't even recall the problem I was having in the first place. Even since then when the device is turn off or rebooted it goes into a boot loop. A factory reset of the device of avail. Is there a fix for this problem? So long as the phone is on I'm find. But when I turn it off or reset it there is a problem.

Every time I add a new contact on my phone, it says Phone-only, unsynced contact. I have no idea why it's started doing this. I'm using the ZMAX ZTE Pro running Android 6.0.1. I've got Gmail set to sync but no where in it's settings can I find anything regarding contacts. Am I doing something wrong? When I had the earlier ZMAX ZTE 970. I had no problems. But with this phone, sheesh. I could use one help here as I've got two phones, both Android (the Zmax and an Alcatel) and I also want to keep my contacts synced with my iPad, MacBook Pro and iMac. I'm just wondering if anyone's unlocked their phone (ZTE Zmax Pro) and bought the Cricket SIM kit and tethered using the unlimited plan? Does our device allow you to tether, without popping up the provisioning dialog box, or do you have to use a third-party app like PdaNet to USB tether? I know it depends on the device... what's why I'm asking. Some devices don't have tethering crippled or a provisioning option in the build.prop can do it. Has anyone tried ?

I've tried to get the app Vysor to work, to mirror the phone on my laptop via USB. I have debugging enabled, followed all directions. It doesn't work. Any ideas? Any other alternative USB mirroring solutions? Thanks

I have a ZTE ZMAX PRO and the screen is shattered. I want to recover my files but all the data extraction tools either need the phone to be in usb debugging mode or dont support this particular phone. since the screen doesnt work i cant put it in usb debugging mode so im not sure what else to do.
